Financial literacy bill heads to Perry

HB 492, the TSCPA-supported legislation requiring personal finance eduction in high school curriculum, passed the Senate on Friday. The bill has been enrolled and sent to Governor Perry for his signature.

Special thanks are owed to TSCPA Key Persons for their efforts to get the bill through its committee hearings. TSCPA Chair Ed Polansky gave outstanding testimony in support of the bill as well.
