Thanks to Capitol Inside for finding this obscure prediction from a Florida-based journalist. Evidently the rationale is that a good showing by Democratic candidate for governor Bill White, even if he doesn’t win, might boost Democratic House races, especially in Houston. Like the proverbial voice crying in the wilderness, this voice from Florida seems to be the only one predicting that Dems have an opportunity to take control of the Texas House. Other closer to home pundits are predicting anywhere from a two to ten seat pick-up for the Republicans.
