Governor Perry Appoints Chief of Staff to Supreme Court

Today Governor Perry announced the appointment of Jeffrey Boyd as Justice of the Texas Supreme Court effective Dec. 3, 2012. Boyd will serve the unexpired term of Justice Dale Wainwright who resigned at the end of September. Boyd currently serves as Perry’s Chief of Staff and previously served as the governor’s general counsel. Boyd as experience in both the Attorney General’s office and as a senior partner in the Austin office of Thompson and Knight LLP. Click here for the full press release.
