It’s an online straw poll of Republican candidates for statewide races, so there is no statistical validity in the results; but there are a few interesting tidbits.
First, “No Preference” was a pretty popular candidate in most races. Only Cornyn (US Senate) and Abbott (Governor) seem to have what might be considered commanding leads over any named primary opponents. In the Lt. Gov. race incumbent Dewhurst is dead last with Patterson leading and Patrick close behind. In the Attorney General race “no preference” leads with Paxton out front of all the other named candidates. Branch is last.
“No preference” also leads the State Comptroller’s race followed by Hegar, Medina and Hilderbran.
Here’s the press release (PDF) with the rest of the results.
