Texas on a sound financial footing

That's the word from the Texas Taxpayers and Research Association's (TTARA) analysis of the 2014-15 biennial budget.  The TTARA press release says the budget is conservative and "puts us on a sound financial footing."  TTARA further says "general revene spending will grow by $7.0 billion or 7.5%…growing well below the rate of state economic growth."  You can read the full report at The 2014-156 Texas State Budget:  Assessing the Numbers.
