Democratic candidate for State Comptroller, CPA and TSCPA member Mike Collier, stopped in Alpine as part of his two-week 36 city tour. According to the news report, Collier said the projected $8 billion budget surplus in Texas should go for “schools, roads and infrastructure” rather than business tax cuts.
